Science, always cited

A baby's brain nearly doubles in volume during the first year.

Knickmeyer RC et al. A structural MRI study of human brain development from birth to 2 years. J Neurosci. 2008;28(47):12176–12182.

That's why every moment counts, and why we don't make anything up. The activities were created with child development specialists, and every health tip in the app shows where it comes from.

PapaKoala doesn't diagnose or replace your pediatrician. We cite these sources so you can read them; none of these institutions endorses the app.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Open the app and start. We don't ask for an email or a password.

Where is my baby's data stored?

On your phone and in your own iCloud, or in your Google backup on Android. If you change iPhone, everything comes with you. It never goes through our servers.

How much time do I need each day?

Whatever you have. Activities are short, use things from home and you decide when. If now isn't the moment, ask for another idea or leave it for tomorrow.

Does it work for siblings or twins?

Yes. Each child has their own day, activities for their age, their sleep rhythm and their report.

What if my baby was born premature?

Enter the weeks of gestation and PapaKoala will use their corrected age to choose the stage and activities.

Does it replace the pediatrician?

No. PapaKoala doesn't diagnose. Health guidance always shows its source and the PDF report is designed to take to appointments.

Which languages is it in?

14: English, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Hindi and Arabic.
